Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning in Bedford, MA
From antique farmhouses to newer condos, Bedford homes get careful, personal cleaning from Ray DeMeo, IICRC Master Textile Cleaner.
Small Town, Big History
Bedford packs a lot into one small town: houses old enough to remember the minutemen, postwar ranches and split-levels, newer construction, and plenty of condos and townhomes.
Each one needs something different, so I look at what you have, test it, and clean it the right way. I'm based in Waltham, a short drive away, and I've done this work personally since 2007. You get Ray every time.
What I Clean in Bedford Homes
Carpet Cleaning
Family rooms, bedrooms and condo stairs, cleaned with the method the fiber calls for.
Upholstery and Fine Fabric
Sofas, recliners and antique chairs, each fabric tested before anything touches it.
Area Rug Cleaning
Machine-made rugs cleaned right in your home. Hand-knotted Oriental and Persian rugs go to a trusted local rug plant.
Tile, Grout and Natural Stone
Kitchen and bath tile, including marble and slate, cleaned with portable equipment that works on any floor of a condo building.
Mattress Cleaning
Plant-based anti-allergen cleaning for the beds you sleep on. Plan to wait overnight before using it.
Pet Stain and Odor Removal
I track down where the accident soaked in and treat it there, not just on the surface.
Vinyl and LVP Floors
Deep cleaning for the vinyl plank in updated kitchens, basements and condo units.
Water Damage
Extraction, drying and moisture checks, whether the water came from a pipe, a storm or the unit upstairs.
Antique Homes, Family Homes and Condos
Antique and Historic Homes
Some Bedford houses were standing when the minutemen marched. Wide pine floors and antique furniture call for a gentle hand, so I test first and protect your floors before any equipment comes inside.
Ranches and Newer Builds
Busy family rooms, finished basements and new carpet with warranty rules. I follow the manufacturer’s guidelines, and you’ll get a straight answer about what will come out.
Condos and Townhomes
My equipment is portable, so it comes into your unit with me. No hoses running down hallways or out to a truck, and no doors propped open while I work.

A Little Bedford History
Bedford was settled around 1640 and became its own town in 1729, carved from parts of Concord and Billerica. On April 19, 1775, its militia and minutemen ate breakfast at the Fitch Tavern, then marched to the fight at Concord, carrying the Bedford Flag. That flag, the oldest known surviving battle flag in the country, is on display at the Bedford Free Public Library.
In 1941, the state bought farmland where Bedford meets Lincoln, Concord and Lexington for a new airport. Two years later it was renamed for Laurence Hanscom, a pilot who had pushed for it. Hanscom is personal for me, too. As a kid, I went to the air shows there and spent the whole afternoon with my head tipped back, watching the jets overhead.
Bedford Farms goes back even further. It started as a dairy in 1880, is the oldest business in town, and began making ice cream after World War II. Whenever I'm working in Bedford, I find a reason to stop there. Who could resist?
Where I Work in Bedford
From the historic center along the Great Road to Bedford Depot, where the Minuteman Bikeway ends, and the neighborhoods off Davis Road and Springs Road, all of Bedford is inside my service area. I'm based in Waltham, a short drive away. I also serve neighboring Lexington and Burlington. See my full Greater Boston service area for towns like Concord, Carlisle and Billerica.
Condos, Offices and Property Managers
If you manage a condo building, accidents happen inside units: a pet mess, a spill, or water coming through from the unit above. When it's more than your maintenance staff should take on, call me. My equipment is portable, so it comes into the unit with me, and I work with the door closed. No hoses down hallways or out to a truck, and nothing in common areas for residents to trip over. I also work with dental and medical practices and law and financial offices. Every commercial job starts with a professional site evaluation.
Bedford FAQs
Do you serve all of Bedford?
Yes. Every part of Bedford is inside my service area, from the historic center to Bedford Depot and the neighborhoods beyond. I'm based in Waltham, a short drive away. Call or message me and I'll give you a real time window.
Can you clean antique furniture and old rugs?
Antique upholstery, yes, once I identify and test the fabric. Hand-knotted Oriental and Persian rugs need full-immersion cleaning, so I refer those to a trusted local rug plant that has been doing it for over 120 years.
I live in a condo. Can you work on an upper floor?
Yes. My equipment is portable, so it comes up in the elevator or the stairs with me and stays inside your unit. No hoses through hallways or windows, and the door stays closed while I work.
Water came through from the unit above. What should I do?
Call me as soon as you can. I extract the water, set up drying, and check moisture in the carpet and pad until it's dry. If your building has its own process, I'll work alongside your property manager.
Do you send a crew?
No crew and no subcontractors. Sunshine is just me, and I take one job a day, so your home is never squeezed between other appointments.
Ready for Sunshine in Your Bedford Home?
Call or message me and I'll take a look. You'll get an honest read on what your carpet, rugs, upholstery or tile actually need, and what's realistic. No pressure.
